I successfully surprised Alex today with a birthday parade. He’s been really grumpy lately and I wasn’t sure if he was going to like it. The New Haven Police Department led the parade with their sirens and speakers. Family and friends decorated their cars and sent gifts. We had a (socially distanced, mask wearing) birthday celebration in the middle of the Boulevard. It was wonderful to see him smile again.
We made Covid Cupcakes and decorated with “Birthday Quaranteen” themed decorations. It was a good day.
