Day 6 and 7 at The CCMC PICU.
Yesterday my grandparents and uncle visited from the Bronx. Alexander is their first great grandchild. He was gifted with an iPad pro. Alexander promised he would spend some time on Khan Academy and Prodigy Math. We have been putting together legos and playing video games to pass the time. A friend and former colleague brought a novel that he plans to read today. He is my son. We are lovers of books.
Last night we were able to stop the blood pressure medicine. We are closer to leaving the PICU. We are not yet headed for home but a unit with a little more freedom in the next day or so.
Our medical team has grown. Today we are testing for infectious diseases. Alex has a persistent fever and has been on antibiotics. So many tests.
